Belon to build $35m coal storage at its preparation plant

30 May '11
Kemerovo region coal company Belon has announced plans to invest $35m building a run-of-mine coal storage warehouse at its Belovskaya central coal-preparation factory.

As a result of investment, the Belovskaya factory’s annual capacity is reportedly to grow from 6 to 7 million tons of processed ROM coal.

The new storage facility is to hold 50,000 tons of coal, the firm said.

The warehouse is scheduled to be put into commission in late 2012.

Belon’s main owner is Chelyabinsk region-based Magnitogorsk Steel group MMK.
