Surgutneftegaz buys Agapsky gas field for $3.7m

The federal subsurface management agency Rosnedra has sold at an auction a license to develop Agapsky gas bearing field in Krasnoyarsk region, the agency reports.

The winner of an auction is oil and gas company Surgutneftegaz that has suggested to pay $3.7m for the license, up five times on the starting price.

Other bidders at the auction were firms Roslyakovskaya and Payakha.
