Gazprom’s $350m Kamchatka plans inked

27 Feb '09
Gazprom’s Alexei Miller and Kamchatka Governor Alexei Kuzmitsky have signed a cooperation agreement, Gazprom reports.

The agreement reportedly covers Gazprom’s current projects in the area, including the development of the Kshukskoye and Nizhne-Kvakchikskoye hydrocarbon fields on Kamchatka’s west coast and construction of the Sobolevo – Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky long-range gas pipeline scheduled for completion in 2010.

This year Gazprom intends to invest $350m in these projects, the report says. In 2008, the company put less than $245m.
