7 Dec '09
A 100% Gazprom subsidiary, Gazprom Drilling, has plans to start in March 2010 the drilling of a first test borehole at the Chayanda oil-gas condensate field in the Republic of Yakutia, Interfax reports.

Overall for 2010 Gazprom reportedly plans the completion of four test boreholes and preparation for another five.

Between 2010 and 2012 the gas company wants to make 15 such boreholes, the source says.

Chayanda is located in Yakutia’s Lensky District. Its C1+C2 reserves are a reported 1.24 trillion cubic-meters of natural gas, and 68.4 million tons of oil and condensate. Full-scale production is reportedly scheduled for 2016.
