A $6.5m factory to produce near-extinction Baltic sea-eels will be built in Kaliningrad Region’s Kurshky Bay, local TV and radio company Kaliningrad reported today.

The project has been reportedly designed by Kaliningrad and Lithuanian experts in fishing.

Construction of the facility is expected to start later this year, the report said.
