$15.6m brick factory launched off Omsk

A factory to produce 79 million bricks a year from heat and power plants ash has been commissioned in Omsk Region, Interfax reported today.

The cost of the project is a reported $15.6m.

The project owner is Osnova Holding, a regional company that specializes in real estate investment projects, the news agency says. The factory reportedly uses equipment supplied by Germanys W+K.

According to the report, 113 new jobs will be created at the factory.
