Kainsk-BIO to build $196m grain-processing plant

Biofuels producer Kainsk-BIO has announced $196m plans to build a grain processing plant in Novosibirsk region.

The plant is reportedly to be located in the regions town of Kuybyshev.

Under plans, the plant is to annually process 365,000 tons of lower-grade grain and to produce 100,000 tons of bioethanol, 120,000 tons of feed yeast, 32,400 tons of gluten and 58,000 tons of carbon dioxide.

Bioethanol and gluten are to be exported to European Union through the companys partner Dutch International Agro-Trading Co. Other products are to be sold domestically.

Construction is scheduled to begin in Q3 2010, with the plant to be put into commission in 2013.
