Saho takes $58.1m out of the oven for Volga bakery plans

Novosibirsk-based agricultural firm Saho has unveiled $58.1m plans to set up 12 bakery plants in various regions of the Volga Federal District.

Under plans, the bakery plants, to run under the Khlebnitsa brand, are to be built in small villages in the regions of Penza, Samara, Ulyanov and Saratov as well as in the republics of Chuvashiya and Tatarstan.

All plants are scheduled to be put into commission by the end of 2009.

The firm presently operates 16 Khlebnitsa plants, namely in the regions of Novosibirsk, Moscow, Omsk and Tula and in Altay kray.
