European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) is considering $8m investment in Japanese Komatsu’s project to build a plant to produce excavators and loaders in Yaroslavl, the bank reports.
As Marchmont wrote earlier, the $63m plant, with projected annual capacity of 3,000 excavators and 7,000 loaders, is scheduled to be put into commission in 2010 (see news of February 25, 2009).
Final decision about getting a share in the project will be taken in April 2009, the bank said.
