Lesprom is to build $34m timber plant in Kaluga region

Kaluga region timber company Lesprom has announced $34m plans to build a wood processing plant in Kaluga region.

The plant, with projected annual capacity of 213,000 cubic meters of processed wood, is reportedly to be located in the regions town of Sukhinichi.

Construction is scheduled to start in 2009. Further timeframes for the project are yet to be announced.
