Investor puts up $30m for new Kemerovo brick plant

A private investor is to invest $30m building a brick factory in the town of Anzhero-Sudzhensk, Kemerovo region, city officials report.

The city authorities have so far not disclosed the investor identity, saying only that the firm is based in the region.

The plant, with projected annual capacity of 55 million bricks, is reportedly to create over 150 local jobs.

Construction is scheduled to start in 2009, with the plant to be put into commission in 2011.
