Glubokinsky Bricks $10.4m expansion plan

Rostov-based Glubokinsky Brick Factory intends to build a $10.4m silica brick factory in Rostov Region, the firm reported today.

The company intends to invest its own capital and also get loans from VTB and Promsvyazbank, sources in the company explained.

The new factory with the projected capacity of 80 million bricks a year will be erected near the company's current facilities.

Germanys W + K Maschinefabrik is to design the project and supply equipment.

Commissioning is to take place in 2010, the firm announced.
