British beer manufacturer SABMiller will invest $220m in construction of a beer factory in Ulyanovsk Region, the company announced earlier today.
The factory will be built on a 47-hectare site that the company leases with the further right to purchase, sources in the firm said.
The projected capacity is 6 million hectoliters a year.
The first stage is to be launched in spring 2009, followed by a second in 2010.
SABMiller set up its first plant with the same capacity in Russia in 1998 in Kaluga Region.
