EzOCM buys $19.4m worth of platinum from VTB

Ekaterinburg-based non-ferrous metals firm EzOCM has purchased 400 kilos of platinum for $19.4m from VTB Bank, the company said today.

The firm, Russia's largest manufacturer of non-ferrous and precious metal products, confirmed the platinum ingots would be delivered throughout 2008 in several, 60kg packs.

The firm today told Marchmont the material was to be used in production of catalytic agents and devices for use in the electronics industry.
