Nizhny Novgorod’s electronic equipment manufacturer Nitel is to invest $2.6m in 2008 in new production equipment, up 2.5 times from last year’s investment, the firm said.

To date the plant has purchased 14 equipment units worth a total of $2.1m from such suppliers as Japan’s Mitsubishi, Sweden’s ESAB, Finland’s Finpower and others.
