SKKM unveils plans for $95 Sverdlovsk brick factory

Samara-based ceramics firm SKKM has unveiled $94.6m plans to build a facing brick factory in Sverdlovsk region.

The move was announced by the region's Union of Developers, whose CEO Yury Chumerin told journalists the project would likely involve investors from Germany and the US.

The factorys projected capacity is 200 million bricks a year.

Mr Chumerin didn't give a timeframe for the project, and SKKM sources today also declined to name dates.
