SKKM annouces new Sverdlovsk brick plant

Samara-based ceramic materials factory SKKM has announced a $94m move to build a brick manufacturing plant in Sverdlovsk region, Interfax reports.

The $94m investment is being put up jointly by SKKM and German investment outfit Keratech.

According to reports, the plant's starting annual production capacity will be 154 million bricks, which is to grow to 240 million bricks.

The plant is to begin operation in 2010.
