Pixar-Coatings to build $20m paints plant in Alabuga SEZ

Russian-Italian JV Pixar-Coatings intends to invest $20.4m building a plant to produce paints and coatings in the Republic of Tatarstan, the company reports.
The plant, to be located in Alabuga special economic zone (SEZ), is reportedly to create 60 new jobs.
Under plans, the project is to be carried out in two stages. Under the first stage, the plant is to produce liquid paints and coatings, under the second stage – powder paints and coatings.
The plant’s projected annual capacity is 10,000 tons of products.
The plant is scheduled to be launched in 2012.
