EBRD to loan $54m to Mondi Syktyvkar LPK

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) might loan $54m to pulp and paper plant Mondi Syktyvkar LPK, based in the Republic of Komi, the bank reports.

The loan terms and interest rate have yet to be disclosed.

Under plans, the funds are to be used to finance the companys project to implement modern technologies and alternative energy sources.

Total investment into the project is estimated at $67m.

Mondi Syktyvkar LPK is a part of Austrian timber group Mondi.
