South Koreas Lotte opens $100m confectionery plant in Kaluga region

South Korean company Lotte Confectionery Ltd has opened a $100m confectionery plant in Kaluga region, regional officials report.

The plant, located in the city of Obninsk, is reportedly to create 300 local jobs.

Under plans, the plant is to produce Choco Pie biscuits. Its projected monthly capacity is 162,000 boxes.

Lotte Confectionery Ltd is a part of South Koreas Lotte Group.
