Sollers and Fiat to invest $535m in Fiat Ducato engines production

Auto giants Sollers and Fiat intend to invest $535m launching production of engines for Fiat Ducato cars in Russia, news agency RIA Novosti reports.

The companies are currently choosing between two plants to be used for engines production Sollers Fiat plant in Alabuga special economic zone in the Republic of Tatarstan and Sollers subsidiary Zavolzhye engine plant ZMZ in Nizhny Novgorod region.

Projected annual capacity is to average 250,000-300,000 engines.

Timeframes for the project have yet to be disclosed.
