Metal and mining company UMMC and Russian Copper intend to buy into Chelyabinsk Zinc, which is part of the ChTPZ metal and pipe group, RIA Novosti reported today.
The potential buyers are reportedly waiting for approval of the deal by Russia’s Federal Anti-monopoly Service.
Terms of the deal have yet to be announced.
It was reported earlier that Chelyabinsk Zinc’s Q1 net loss had reduced from Q4 2008 to $12.6m.
