Kurgan needs $14m investment to overhaul solid waste landfill

Authorities in the city of Kurgan have announced an open tender to select an investor for a $13.7m project to develop solid waste landfill.

The waste landfill is reportedly located in Shikhovsky forest in Kurgan region’s Ketovsky district.

Under the project, the investor is to overhaul the landfill and build a waste-sorting stations, with annual capacity of 130 tons.

Timeframes for the project have yet to be disclosed.
