Tsimlyanskiye Vina to produce cognacs

Rostov region-based wines manufacturer Tsimlyanskiye Vina has announced plans to launch production of cognac under Tsimlyansky brand.

Investment in the project has yet to be disclosed but is estimated by experts at $2-$2.7m.

Under plans, the company is to annually produce one million bottles of cognac. Three and five-star cognacs are to be sold in 0.5-liter and 0.35-liter bottles.

The cognac is reportedly to be available in retail stores in July this year.
