RATEK to build meat&fish processing plant in Chechnya

Construction firm RATEK is to build a meat and fish processing plant outside the city of Grozny, Republic of Chechnya, regional officials report.

Investment in the project has yet to be disclosed.

The plant is reportedly to create 1,300 new jobs.

Under plans, the plant is to process 30,000 tons of meat and fish per month and produce sausages, canned foods and premade products.

Construction has kicked off recently and is scheduled to last 1.5 years.
