Interkos IV launches $256m pressworks plant in Kolpino

Interkos IV has put into commission the first $128m launch complex of a presswork plant in Kolpino, St. Petersburg, the company reports.

Investment into the plant’s first launch complex has reportedly come in at $128m.

The first launch complex’s projected annual capacity is 250,000 tons of rolled metal.

Under plans, in H1 2012 the second launch complex is to be launched, including two or three large pressing lines to process large stampings, such as car splash boards and hoods.

Investment into the second launch complex is estimated at another $128m.

Interkos IV is by 75% controlled by Magnitogorsk Steel (MMK).
