Perm region’s foreign trade turnover in 2008 was $7.7bn, up 90% on 2007, regional officials report.

Export reportedly came in at $6.9bn, up 90%, imports amounted to $780m, up 50%.

The region traded with 116 countries in 2008.

It mainly exported to China, USA and India. Prominent among importers were Germany, the Ukraine and China.
