Tatneft eyes $3m Vega gas station

3 Oct '08
Tatarstan oil major Tatneft is negotiating to buy a chain of Vega gas stations in the city of Volzhsky, Volgograd Region, the firm reported today.

The parties do not disclose the terms of the deal as talks are not over yet. Analysts estimate it at around $3m.

Vega runs its own oil storage and nine gas stations.

The acquisition is part of Tatneft's retail network strategy, which envisages an increase in a number of its own gas stations to 900 and sales of 2.4 million tons of fuels by 2011.
