The Nizhny Novgorod regional government in 2009-2012 is to allocate $31.7m to establish a complex security system in the region.

The plan includes setting up a video monitoring of residential complexes and other public places as well as to control traffic violations.

The program will also monitor possible technogenic, natural or terrorist threats at important sites.
