29 Mar '16
Ninety Russian government-owned firms are now compelled to purchase innovative high-tech products from SME suppliers, Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev of Russia decreed. The decision was published on the Russian Government portal.
According to the text of the decree, the list of companies was formed based on “proposals and suggestions provided by joint-stock companies co-owned by the government, state-run corporations, and the federal development institutions.”
The list includes most of Russia’s largest government-owned companies, such as Gazprom, Aeroflot, RusHydro, Rostelecom, Uralvagonzavod, Russian Railways, Alrosa, and others.
