Primorsky’s $2.3bn APEC saving announced

Primorsky Region has saved $2.3bn of government funds on APEC summit project construction in Vladivostok, regional officials announced.

According to Primorsky Governor Sergei Darkin, the considerable saving has been made possible through holding regional tenders, optimizing logistics, using Russian-made materials, etc.

The Asian-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit is scheduled in Vladivostok for 2012.
