Sakhalin regional authorities have allocated $3.9m for support of local small and medium-sized businesses this year, RIA Novosti reports, citing a source in the regional government.
It is a reported three-time increase on the 2009 appropriation.
Regional SMEs will be reportedly aided in the form of government guarantees for banking loans, partial reimbursement of banking interest rates, and assistance in residents’ starting their own business.
