North-West’s unemployment varies between 6.5% and 13.7%

St. Petersburg, Arkhangelsk and Murmansk regions report 6.5% unemployment for May, Russia’s statistics agency, Rosstat, posted today. It is reportedly one of the lowest unemployment rates in Russia’s North-West.

St. Petersburg posts the lowest rate of 4.2%, Rosstat says.

Meanwhile, Nenets Autonomous District was the hardest hit in the area in May, the agency reports. With its 13.7% jobless rate the region’s labor market is the worst performing in Russia’s North-West.
