Amur wants more labor migrants

10 Jun '09
Amur regional employers lack local employees, want 39,500 foreign workers next year, double this year’s quotas, regional officials announced earlier today.

The 2009 quota is a reported 18,000 labor migrants, which is 22% less that the region expected.

Foreigners usually work in Amur Region’s forestry, wood processing, construction, retail, and agriculture, the officials said.
