ARVI to build $30m turkey complex in Chuvashia

Agricultural group ARVI intends to invest $30m building a Russian-Lithuanian complex to produce and process turkey meat in the Republic of Chuvashia, regional officials report.

The complex is reportedly to be located in the regions Krasnoarmeysky district.

Under plans, the complex is to consist of several turkey-breeding farms, as well as animal feed factory.

The complexs projected annual capacity is 6,000 tons of produced turkey meat.

The facilities are scheduled to reach projected annual capacity in 2013.

ARVI group unites 22 firms in Lithuania, Romania, Ukraine, Russia, Latvia and Croatia, specializing in manufacturing of fertilizers, animal feed, sugar, meat.
