Ulyanovsk region eyes $270m agricultural projects

Seven investment projects in agricultural sector worth a total of $270m are to be carried out in Ulyanovsk region in 2010, regional officials report.

Specifically, SAHO Group is to invest $30m in production of bread products.

Mordovcement is to invest $17m in grains growing and development of animal breeding in the regions Sursky district.

RusnRusSantimir is to spend $68m in development of lands in Novomalyklinsky, Melekessky, Staromaynsky and Cherdaklinsky districts.

Ivolga-Holding is to invest $12m in an agricultural enterprise in Terengulsky district.

Krasny-Vostok Agro is to invest $102m in expansion of its animal-breeding farm for 7,800 cattle heads.

Other two projects have yet to be disclosed.
