Udmurtia to spend $5m on agricultural machinery in 2010

Authorities in the Republic of Udmurtia have announced plans to assign $5m to purchase tractors and harvesters for local agricultural firms in 2010, down 70% on 2009.

In 2009 the authorities are reportedly to spend a total of $17.4m on agricultural machinery.

Under plans, 2009 funding is to be used to buy 365 tractors, 120 grain harvesters and 35 forage harvesters.
