Volna to build $2.8m dairy complex in Kostroma region

Agricultural firm Volna intends to invest $2.8m building a milk complex in Kostroma region, regional officials report.

The project is reportedly to be carried out in the regions Soligalichesky district.

Under the project, the complex is to include an animal breeding farm for 900 cows and a milk-processing plant to produce pasteurized milk and sour-milk products.

The complexs projected annual production capacity is 109.2 tons of meat and 1,440 tons of milk.

Timeframes for the project have yet to be disclosed.
