Energy company MES East has begun installation of relaying and automation devices at the 500kV Vladivostok substation in Primorsky Region, the firm said today.
The work is part of a broader project aimed at building the 500 kV Dalnevostochnaya – Vladivostok aerial power line and the 500kV Vladivostok substation, the report specified.
The project cost has yet to be announced.
Once commissioned, those new facilities will reportedly enable more consumer link-ups, including buildings to serve the 2012 APEC summit in Vladivostok.
MES East is a subsidiary of national grid company FSK UES.
