Ulyanovskregiongas fined $2.5m

Ulyanovsk office of federal antimonopoly service has fined local gas distributor Ulyanovskregiongas $2.5m for illegal charging residents of one of city blocs of flats with tariffs meant for industrial enterprises, sources in the federal service report.

Experts of the federal antimonopoly service believe that the company has breached a federal law on competition that prohibits a dominant market company to set unreasonably high prices for its products or services.

Ulyanovskregiongas is a subsidiary of Gazprom.
