RAO US Vostok to spend $315m on energy facilities repairs

The Far East energy company RAO US Vostok has announced plans to spend $315m on energy facilities repairs to prepare them for the heating season in 2011, up 18.4% on 2010.

Under plans, the company is to switch to natural gas boiler units at Vladivostok TPS-2, Kamchatka TPS and Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk TPS-1 thermal power stations.

The company is also to ensure energy supply to communication facilities on Chita-Khabarovsk highway, build the fifth power units at the Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk TPS-1 and gas turbine unit at the Vladivostok TPS-2 and the Central Water Steam Boiler, the firm said.
