RusHydro to build $68m wind power station in Primorsky region

National hydro power operator RusHydro intends to invest $68m building the first Far East wind power station in Primorsky region, regional officials report.

The station is reportedly to be based on the Popov Island.

Under the project, the 23 MW power station is to consist of ten wing power units with power capacity of 2.3 MW each.

Construction of the station is scheduled to be completed before the APEC Summit, which is to be held in Vladivostok in September 2012.
