MES Vostok to build $114m power line in Primorsky region

Interregional grid company MES Vostok has announced plans to invest $114m building a 220 kV power line Zeleny Ugol – Russkaya in Primorsky region.

The 16.8-kilometer power line is reportedly to link substations 220 kV Zeleny Ugol (Green Corner) and Patrokl in Vladivostok’s continental part with Russkaya substation, located in Russky Island.

Under plans, the line is to supply power to the Far East Federal University, Oceanarium, Far East branch of the Russian Academy of Science, as well as real estate facilities which are being built for APEC Summit to take place in 2012.

The power line is scheduled to be put into commission by December 2011.
