MES East to build $113m power line in Primorsky region

Interregional grid company MES East has started construction of a $113m 220 kV power line Zeleny Ugol Russkaya in Primorsky region, the company reports.

The 16.8-kilometer line is reportedly to supply energy to consumers in Russky Island, including facilities for APEC Summit, to be held in 2010, Far East Federal University, Oceanarium, Far East branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

MES East is a part of national grid operator FSK UES.
