Power generating company OGC-1 has selected Technopromexport the winner of a tender for a contract to build an $855m PGU-450 power unit at Urengoy GRES power station, OGC-1 reports.
The project is reportedly to be financed with the funds to be raised from the company’s private placement of follow-on shares. Currently the works are financed with OGC-1 funds, as well as a loan from INTER RAO UES.
The power unit’s capacity is 450 MW.
The unit is scheduled to be put into commission in 2012.
