Izhorskiye Zavodyís $533m Rosatom orders aired

Russiaís state-owned nuclear energy corporation, Rosatom, has placed $533m worth of orders with Leningrad regional Izhorskiye Zavody, Rosatom CEO Sergei Kiriyenko said today.

According to him, orders for equipment worth $190m have already been paid for.

Izhorskiye Zavody was founded in 1722 by Peter the Great. Todayís reactor plants that the company makes are used at 47 nuclear power stations in Russia and other CIS countries, Bulgaria, Slovakia, and Finland.

Izhorskiye Zavody is now part of Uralmash-Izhora Group (OMZ).
