Kurgan thermal station-2 gets $43m budget aid

A total of $43m is to be assigned from the federal and regional budgets on construction of main heat pipelines at Kurgan TPS-2 thermal power station in 2009, regional officials report.

Of the total funding, $31.5m is to be raised from the RF Investment Fund, with $11.5m to be put up by regional authorities.

Construction of the station started in September 2007. The project is reportedly financed by the station owner – Moscow company Intertekhelectro – Novaya Generatsiya, and is supported with funds from the federal and regional budgets.
