Sakhalinenergo seeks $16.7m government aid

Energy supplier Sakhalinenergo solicits government reimbursement for a predicted 2009 loss, Interfax reported today, citing company CEO Igor Butovsky.

According to the CEO, a 2009 loss is preliminarily estimated at $16.7m.

In 2008, Sakhalinenergo was $1.5m in the red, Interfax reported.
