FSK UES to invest $244m in Kaluga region in 2010-2014

National grid operator FSK UES has announced plans to invest $244m in development of electricity grid facilities in Kaluga region in 2010-2014.

Under plans, by 2014 the company is to launch 1,883 MVA transformer capacities and 135 kilometers of new and overhauled power lines.

Among the companys main projects in the region is construction of a 500 kV Vorsino substation with transformer capacity of 501 MVA and 500 kV Kaluzhskaya Vorsino power line, the firm said.
